Serving Those Who Serve
As a non-profit ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ, Arrowhead currently serves over 400 ministries nationwide and is recognized throughout North America as the leader in Christian conference and meeting planning – with most services completely complimentary.
Your conferences change lives. Your events may be the first time someone hears the name of Jesus. You could be training future church leaders. You maybe helping to put broken families back together or giving moms a weekend away for rest. You could be gathering people to mobilize them to make change in their own communities. Whatever you’re trying to accomplish, Arrowhead understands your ministry.
Our Role in Your Event
We help ministries secure contracts that minimize risk, allowing your ministry to focus on the content and message of your program.
We do not plan program content, but we assist the ministry in budgeting, pre-planning, site selection, and contract negotiation. We work primarily with the hospitality industry, seeking to set up the best accommodations in the most appropriate settings at the best possible prices.
Arrowhead Conferences and Events partners ministries with hotels, retreat and convention centers, and arenas nationwide. We work with convention and visitors bureaus and national hotel sales representatives to increase your ministry’s buying leverage.

A Look at our Events
Arrowhead has the privilege of serving Christian ministries and helping them achieve their conference objectives. We have been honored to assist with some of the largest Christian gatherings of our time.
Each of these conferences involved complicated logistics, multiple organizations, scores of hotels, thousands of hotel rooms, and tens of thousands of people:
Campus Crusade: “KC ‘83” College Student Conference (Kansas City, MO, 1983) – 23,000 students
National Network of Youth: “Youth Congress” (Washington, DC, 1985) – 25,000 high school students
Promise Keepers: “Stand in the Gap” (Washington, DC, 1998) – 1.3 million men
Promise Keepers: Pastors Conference (Atlanta, GA, 1996) – over 39,000 pastors
National Network of Youth: “Atlanta ‘96” Youth Workers Convention (Atlanta, GA, 1996) – 15,000 pastors/youth workers comprising 35 different youth organizations
Teen Mania: “Acquire the Fire” first stadium event (OneDay) at the Silverdome (Pontiac, MI, 1999) – 70,000 teens
Choice Ministries, Inc.: “OneDay” 4th annual Passion Conference (Greater Memphis Area, TN, 2000) – 40,000 college students
Luis Palau Association: U.S. City Festivals (1-4 per year) – 65,000-85,000 attendees per Festival
In 1973, Enoch Williams began planning conferences for Campus Crusade for Christ. The leadership of Campus Crusade for Christ recognized the need for this conference planning specialty and incorporated Arrowhead as a subsidiary 501(c)(3) organization in 1986, naming Enoch Williams as president.
We began working with Campus Crusade for Christ’s college and high school conferences as well the FamilyLife marriage conferences. As our success in assisting ministries began to be recognized, other churches, para-church ministries, associations, denominations, and youth, women’s and men’s ministries began utilizing our services as well.
“One of the most significant gifts the Lord has shared with us during the past few years has been the services of the Arrowhead Conferences and Events staff. Scott Falk and his team have served us so well with our Annual Gathering of the Mission America Coalition along with other meetings. It has been a joy to recommend ACE to several of our MA Coalition partners – and to recommend ACE to you for your prayerful consideration.”

Answering your Questions
I am in charge of all meeting and conference planning for my ministry. Why would I want to use an “outside” planning company?
Buying power – Due to the number of hotel rooms that we help ministries contract each year and our relationships with national sales managers for the major hotel chains, we give you buying power and resources that you wouldn’t have on your own.
Contracting process – We have developed a contract template that represents your ministry in a fair way and that is accepted by most national hotel brands. We realize there are a myriad of challenges and surprises that can occur throughout the contracting process, we know what to look for and what to ask for.
Ministry and industry knowledge – As a non-profit organization ourselves, we help bring the two different worlds of profit and non-profit together, making sure your unique ministry needs are understood by hotels. The hospitality industry is constantly evolving. Arrowhead keeps up with the business and financial trends which allows us to support your organization effectively.
Trusted, available staff – Our meeting professionals have a range of experience in the hospitality industry as well as various ministries. Therefore, we can provide the best of both worlds.
If the hotels are going to pay you a commission why shouldn’t we just do the work ourselves and get a lower room rate for our meetings?
Wouldn’t the hotels pass the savings on to us?
It sure makes sense in theory; but in actuality it’s not that cut and dry. A bona fide travel professional like Arrowhead qualifies for commission. Without our involvement, in most cases the hotels will not pass the savings on to you. We have found this to be consistent through our long history of working with the hospitality industry.
If you are paid by the hotels, how do I know that you will be working with my best interest at heart?
Arrowhead, as a non-profit and a wholly controlled subsidiary of Campus Crusade for Christ, is dedicated to helping planners hold the best possible events for ministries worldwide. There is no confusion in our minds; we work for you and for the advancement of the Kingdom. Arrowhead’s planners take great pleasure in securing the best room rates and best overall value for our clients based on our clients’ individual needs. We are a business that is ministry-minded.
I work very hard and one of the joys of my job includes a number of special benefits that hotels provide when we hold our events. What about all of the great benefits that come with planning an event?
Arrowhead does not share in your miles, points, rewards, or perks. All benefits generated by your event stay with you or whomever you designate within your ministry.
How do you provide all these services without any cost to our ministry?
Arrowhead was set up in 1986 to serve ministries that needed help planning meetings and events. We knew then that the typical ministry is always looking for ways to be good financial stewards, so we set up our non-profit ministry using the same model developed by the tour and travel industry. That means there is no cost to you because the hospitality industry funds our ministry through the commission we receive on hotel rooms.
I love everything about planning events and I am afraid that if I use a third-party planner that I will lose my planning role and the necessity for my job will be eliminated.
How do I know that you aren’t just trying to take control of the entire process?
We have a very defined role of assisting with the site selection and contracting process. We simply desire to assist you with the responsibility you’ve been given as the event planner of your organization. You as the meeting planner will be recognized by the hotel as the event coordinator. Our goal is to save your ministry time, money, and the exposure to contractual risk so that you are able to focus on the heart of the conference and the objectives that your ministry hopes to achieve.
